PSHE and RSE
Our PSHE RSE curriculum is taught by following the Jigsaw scheme. It provides our children with a mindful approach to the subject which supports their learning and supports our school values of kindness, respect, safety, ambition and connected. Each year groups lessons are broken down into 6 puzzles, one to be taught each half term. Every year group learns the same puzzle at the same time at an age appropriate level, allowing the whole school to take part in the same learning journey together.
The Jigsaw puzzles pieces are:
Autumn 1: Being in my World
Autumn 2: Celebrating Differences
Spring 1: Dreams and Goals
Spring 2: Healthy Me
Summer 1: Relationships
Summer 2: Changing Me
The teaching of the Jigsaw program aims to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at school and in society, therefore preparing our pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
